Men's Conference in Indiana

Today I had the opportunity to attend a men's purity conference in Indiana. The key speaker was Rand Hummel from the Wilds Camp and Conference. It was a very good reminder of the age in which we live and that there is not a man alive who is not capable of falling. It was a very sobering time. For me, some of the key points are the nugget statements.
* "The question is not "Do we know what is wrong?", but "Do we desire
what is right?"
* "Don't think of how sin affects you, but
rather think of how it affects others."
* "A true friend is one
who cares enough about you to make life miserable for you when you are
in sin."
* "Make it hard to sin and easy to do right."
I think that last one is one of my favorites. Things like these pithy statements have a tendency to stick in my mind longer. The overarching principle of the conference was upon meditating upon God and His word. I would surmise the conference in yet another pithy statement by another pastor of old; "Either this Book will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from this Book!" I found it interesting how much of his material tied right in with a similar series from Central Seminary. (http://www.centralseminary.edu/index.asp?m=763 ). Probably one of the most frank discussions on the issue.
Lunch was provided by the church. A friend of mine and director of Shepherd's Bethel , Mike Weiss, prepared a fabulous prime rib meal for all the men. Nothing was missed!
While there, the Lord did allow for some opportunity to distribute some of my information to some of the 15 pastors there. Please pray that I would be able to see at least 1 meeting arise out of this opportunity.
