Women's IFBF Meeting

This past weekend I had the opportunity to go to the Indiana Fundamental Baptist Fellowship Ladies retreat in Indianapolis. It was refreshing to get away with just ladies for a whole weekend. The best part of it was being able to spend the weekend with my mother n' law. We don't get to do that very often so it was an especially nice treat!! The theme of the retreat was on being an example of the believer. Our theme verse was 1Timothy 4:12, "But let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." The most challenging thought that I walked away with is that whether I like it or not my life is always an example. Whether it is at the grocery store or at home in front of your family our lives are always being examined by someone. So with this thought in mind I must strive to leave a sweet taste in peoples minds of who our Lord Jesus Christ really is. He is humble, meek, loving and holy just to mention a few. Once again I'll emphasize that this was an encouraging weekend for me.
