Petition To Keep Our Tax Dollars From Funding Abortion

"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing."
I have a very disturbing report for you on how the Obama Congress is moving quickly to funnel hundreds of millions of your tax dollars to the abortion industry. Focus on the Family Action has just launched a citizen petition to oppose this latest phase in the radical, pro-abortion agenda, as well as the effort to force you and me to pay for it. You can click here to see and sign the Petition. It only takes a couple of minutes, if that.

Unusual Math
Posted on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 3:45 PM by Paul Kovach
Since when does a tire equal the gospel? Where is the math in that?
Sometimes, witnessing opportunities do not always happen on our timetable. It is sort of like a truck breaking down across the street at 1a.m. as you are heading off to bed. My wife and I went to close the garage door for the night (yes sometimes it takes both of us) when we noticed a white pickup truck in the church parking lot across the street. I went over to make sure that he was alright only to find that this gentleman, heading home from a long day of work, had a flat tire on his Ford truck (I say that for a reason). It was cool and drizzling off and on and he was hunched over his owner’s manual trying to figure why he could not get the spare tire to lower from under the truck. After he and I were able to assess the situation, the tools that were in his truck (which was not originally his) were not the proper tools he needed to lower the tire and jack up the truck. I ran back across the street to my Chevy Van since it had a similar system and brought my tools over. By God's grace they fit. After over an hour of laying in the mud and the muck we were able to get the tire swapped out with the spare, and a GM Vehicle saved the day! The Lord provided opportunities to witness to this gentleman and he was very receptive. After he was all set, he was insisting I take some money for my trouble. I was able to trade him favors by giving him a tract and having him promise to visit a local church that I knew nearby where he lived.
How easy it would have been to have simply put down the garage door that night and just snuggle in my warm bed sheets for the night. The Lord tends to bring diving appointments when we least expect them. The question is whether or not we are going to be willing to do what he has called us to do; simply use everyday situations to present Christ and the Love of Christ.
